The Mix Mason is an LA-based nightclub and mixtape DJ, who spins hip-hop, b-more club, electro, funky lounge musica and knows his share of rock/dubstep/oldies. During the day he works for a well-known music supervisor in television, films, & trailers.
An extremely simple concept, but oh so perfectly executed. The timings and movements are so tightly in-synch with the structure of the song. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think this was a montage lifted from a film!

Wow, brave and amazing video, that actually enhances an otherwise rather repetitive song and gives it a full storyline. I have a feeling I’ll always have these visuals in my head when I drop the song (which will be many times on this Halloween weekend). Bassnectar, definitely one of the top 3 dubstep producers in my book, has unreleased a dark, seamless mix of mainly original music. This baby was released 3 weeks ago (which equals what, 5 years in blog-time?) but it’s well worth the listen. It starts with in-the-pocket Bassnectar tunes, and ends up crazy rock, drum-n-bass and mashups.
